I always suggest choosing your new little friend first – do you prefer the Mouse Family, Rabbit Family, Teddy Family or the Deer Family?? If you can’t decide you can always have a few from each family, they are all good friends!
If you are not sure, we have a fun little quiz you can take when you sign up to our newsletter to help you decide.
Also a helpful tip which might help you decide is that the Maileg Big Brother and Big Sister Mice’s clothes also fit the Baby Teddy, the Micro sized Rabbits and Bunnies, as well as Big Brother Deer! So you can mix and match your new little friends clothes and accessories. Giving you more options when playing.
Once you have decided on your first little friend or two! Then I would suggest buying an extra outfit or a piece of furniture like a bed, stroller or afternoon tea set to make playing a little bit more fun. Later, you might want to look at our Maileg Starter Sets page, where you can find new seasonal bundles with a mix of mice or bunnies and accessories to go with them, taking away the worry of any sizing issues.
Maileg release their new collections twice a year, normally in January \(for the Spring/Summer ranges)and then in June (for the Autumn / Christmas ranges). The new items then gradually arrive over the following few months, but please note due dates can often change. Here, at the Bluebell’s Burrow, you have the option to pre-order new items beforehand if you prefer. However, if you chose to order a “pre-order” item, we will wait until the whole order has arrived before sending your order out. If you need part of your order now, please place two separate orders.
Lastly, we have a FAQ page and a Maileg Sizing Guide page to help you further. Maileg sizing can sometimes be tricky, but if you have any questions please DM me on IG or email me via the website, and I’ll be happy to help!
FUN FACT:
Did you know - Maileg is a Danish brand that was founded by Dorthe Mailil and her husband Erik in 1999. They chose to combine their surname “Mailil” with the word “leg” which is the Danish word for Play! Maileg is pronounced My’lye.
